The Venue

The Heritage listed Roxy Theatre is one of Australia’s oldest cinemas. As an iconic landmark, this celebrated art deco building is undergoing significant redevelopment to house live theatre, cinema and a versatile event space.

Our Scope

Setting Line has been engaged across key stages of this redevelopment.

Stage 1 - Venue condition report developed by Setting Line Principal, Craig Gamble, whilst at MDE.

Stage 2 - Setting Line was part of a team identifying technical shortfalls building issues, operational and commercial potential, architectural designs and developing a new business case for this venue. Advising on the venue, operational needs, the existing specialist systems and equipment and recommending future building, systems, technical equipment, architectural developments and budgets to support State funding submissions.

Stage 3 - Recently appointed as part of the project team to deliver on this concept design vision, Setting Line are looking forward to revitalising this community icon.
